Flammable Vapors

WARNING
DANGER
Hot water can be dangerous, especially for infants or children, the elderly,
or inrm. There is hot water scald potenal if the thermostat is set too
high.
Water temperatures over 125º F (51º C) can cause severe burns or
scalding resulng in death.
Hot water can cause rst degree burns with exposure for as lile as:
3 seconds at 140º F (60º C)
20 seconds at 130º F (54º C)
8 minutes at 120º F (48º C)
Test the temperature of the water before placing a child in the bath or
shower.
Safety Behaviors and Pracces for the Consumer and Installer
CAUTION
BURN HAZARD. Hot exhaust and vent may cause
serious burns. Keep away from water heater unit.
Keep small children and animals away from unit.
Hot water outlet pipes leaving the unit can be hot
to touch. In residenal applicaons, insulaon
must be used for hot water pipes below 36” due to
burn risk to children.
