• Flushing the heat exchanger consists of
pumping virgin food grade white
vinegar or food grade citric acid through
the copper heat exchanger to remove
lime scale or calcium buildup.
• Damage caused by lime or scale
buildup is not covered under the water
heater’s warranty.
• Specific flushing instructions can be
found in the System Maintenance
section of the operation and installation
manual.
5 gallon bucket to be filled
with 4 gallons of food grade
white vinegar or citric acid.
